How do I connect/disconnect to a node on AllStar

To disconnect from a node -

*1(node number)

Current Nets on AllStar

Here is a current list of nets we have connecting on AllStar. Remember, these auto connect and disconnect. There is no need to connect these manually.

Wednesday - 8:30 - 10pm - 60's pop rock music and tv shows trivia net (now being called the 60's Nostalgia Net)

Saturdays - 8 - 11pm - The Science Net

Sunday - 4 - 6pm - The Raspberry Pi Net

Tuesday - 6 - 8pm - The Absolute Tech Net

As time goes by, we may make additions/subtractions to these nets.

If you would like us to include another net or don't care for one of these, please leave a comment here in this thread.

AllStar Link now added to the 444.300 MHz repeater.

I'm pleased to announce that AllStar Link is now added to the 444.300 MHz repeater. With the explosion of node worldwide on AllStar, we new we had to put it on one of our repeaters.

Please note that IRLP has been removed from the repeater.

I will be posting more info on the forum in the coming days/weeks ahead.

How to use IRLP

IRLP (Internet Radio Linking Project) is available on the 444.300 repeater. Command controls of IRLP are restricted to RMRA Members and Emergency Communications. (example: storm spotting net to Green Bay weather).

To operate IRLP, here are some examples...

You want to connect to the East Coast Reflector on 9050.

Listen to see if the repeater is in use.
Key up and give your callsign
If it is open, key up and announce "(callsign) connecting to reflector 9050".
While keyed up, type in 9 0 5 0, and then unkey
The repeater will come back that it's connected.

You want to disconnect from a reflector. (73 is the number for disconnecting)

Key up and announce "(callsign) disconnecting"
While keyed, type 7 3.
The repeater will come back that it is disconnecting.
Key up and give your callsign one more time.

Please be sure to visit the IRLP reflector page as large reflectors often have rules when connecting and etiquette on using that particular reflector.
